SISVEL is in the final stages of structuring a joint licensing program with a number of patent holders to make essential DVB-H patents easily accessible to all users on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms. Please note, however, that patent evaluation will be available on an ongoing basis for additional patent holders wishing to join.

SISVEL invites all parties that have a patent or patents they believe to be essential to the DVB-H standard to submit their patent(s) for an evaluation of essentiality by the independent patent experts retained by SISVEL.

SISVEL’s efforts to organize a DVB-H joint licensing program are in accordance with the request to the industry from the EU Commissioner for Information Society and Media, Ms. Viviane Reding, to provide certainty regarding technology licensing terms and conditions as a prerequisite to the Commission’s support of standardized solutions such as DVB-H.
